| Almost all the railway stations in China are located in the centre of the city. So it is not difficult to get there by bus or by taxi. Some cities have more than one railway stations, such as Beijing and Guangzhou. |

In China, some cities have two railway stations,so you should pay more attention to the names of the stations to avoid mis-boarding. There are 3 railway stations in Beijing, Beijing Station, Beijing South railway station and Beijing West Station.
Beijing railway station: located in the centre of the city,you can take the subway to get there. But remember to take line No.2 and exit through Gate C and D.
Functions:Trains leaving for Shanghai, Suzhou, Chengde depart from here.Some international trains such as Beijing-Moscow,Beijing- Ulbator ,Beijing- Pyongyang also depart from here.
Beijing West Railway Station: built in 1996 and located in the southwest part of the city. It is the biggest train station in Asia and famous for its Sino-European construction style. There is no subway nearby, but you can get there by taxi.
Function:Trains leaving for Xi'an, Urumqi and Hongkong depart from here. |

| Shanghai Railway Station: is located in the north part of the city. You can take subway line No. 1 or line No. 3 to get there, the only difference is: line No 1 will lead you to the south side of the square in front of the station, but line No. 3 to the north side |
